Another Sleeping Question

What Time Do Your Kids Wake Up?

My daughter has been getting up at 5:30 am for the day and she also goes to bed pretty late (like 9:30-10:00). Last night I put her to bed at 8:30 and she still woke up just as early. She is 14 months and only takes one nap per day (usually sleeps a MAX of 2 hours) That's why I want to know what time your kids wake up. Is this a normal time for a kid to get up? Because to me it just feels too early.

A few months ago Gaius started wanting to get up at 5:30. I had to just be mean and put him back down. 6:00 is when I get up. And I don't get up before then. Even if I have to lay him down at 5:45, we don't start until 6:00. He cried a lot, but eventually he learned to sleep until 6:00.

I put him to bed around 7:30. We learned that no matter what time we put him down, he gets up at the same time. So I figure, the earlier, the better. Then I can go to bed early (I'm seriously an old person!) and feel ready to go at 6:00.

Thanks Amanda! I like the idea of not getting up until a certain time. I just hate letting her cry but I know it is necessary so I can get some sleep. An earlier bedtime is a good idea too.
